To become a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), you need to attend a course delivered by a Certified Scrum Trainer, for example, ScrumCenter’s. There are no prerequisites to taking the Certified Scrum Master course or assessment. After completion of the course, you will be sent a Scrum Alliance link to activate your account. You will then access and take the online assessment and once passed you will become a Certified Scrum Master.
There are no prerequisites to taking the Certified Scrum Master course. You may be brand new to Agile, you may already have some knowledge under your belt or you may be working in a Scrum Team now. Whatever your current position, you will have come to an understanding that an Agile working environment brings huge benefits in terms of quality, productivity, and time to market. This course is the next step, as it establishes a solid foundation in knowing what good practice looks like to ensure highly successful outcomes. The Scrum certification course is ideal for anyone looking to start out in Scrum and Agile, and it’s effectively essential for established practitioners looking to move on to the next level with formal training to back up invaluable hands-on experience.
A Scrum Master is the Scrum team member tasked with fostering an effective and productive working environment and guiding others to understand Scrum values, principles, and practices. They ensure the team implements Scrum in practice and coaches it towards excellence.
Our live-online certified Scrum training is interactive, engaging, and fun. It’s taught at a sustainable pace so you can maximise learning from the comfort of your home or office. It is highly practice-oriented and participants come away with tools and techniques they can apply straight away to help take their own team and practice to the next level.
Courses vary in duration, however, it usually a total of 16 hours. ScrumCenter offers Certified Scrum Master training over two longer or three shortened days.
To pass your Certified Scrum Master test you need to correctly answer 37 out of 50 Scrum Alliance questions.
You must complete the Certified Scrum Master assessment within one hour. The assessment must be taken within 90 days of the course.
The governing body, i.e. Scrum Alliance, provides the opportunity to take the assessment for a second time if you do not pass it the first time.
